Halloween Carnival Brings International Celebration to Antrim

This weekend, The Junction Retail & Leisure Park in Antrim becomes the stage for a fresh kind of Halloween event, a two-day Halloween Carnival, bringing together global traditions, live performances, and a large-scale artisan market.

Halloween Carnival

Taking place on Saturday 25th October (11am–5pm) and Sunday 26th October (12pm–4pm), the event will transform the retail park into a vibrant celebration of creativity. Designed to capture the spirit of Halloween from around the world, the carnival will feature Day of the Dead inspired face painting, Mexican folkloric dancers, Bollywood performers, and a Chinese lion display, alongside traditional Halloween elements.

Organisers say the carnival aims to offer an exciting celebration of Halloween, one that celebrates creativity and community spirit. The weekend will feature a harvest-style food and craft market with more than 50 independent producers, artists and makers from across Northern Ireland, alongside food trucks, live music and a host of family-friendly attractions, including a pumpkin patch, arts and crafts workshops, roaming walkabout characters, and a Wednesday Addams-themed theatre show.

The Junction are partnering with ArtsEkta, a Belfast-based, multi-award-winning social enterprise whose work focuses on intercultural relationships and inclusion through the arts.

Chris Flynn, Centre Director at The Junction said: “The Junction has been at the heart of Halloween in Antrim for more than ten years, and each year we aim to make it bigger, better, and a little bit different. This year’s carnival keeps all the traditional elements people love; the pumpkins, costumes, and family fun, while introducing a few new surprises and performances that bring something fresh to the weekend. It’s all about creating a memorable experience that everyone can enjoy together.”

The event is delivered in partnership with Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. Admission and parking are free throughout the weekend, with a small entry fee applying to the Pumpkin Patch and Wednesday Addams–themed theatre show. For full details, visit www.thejunctionshopping.com
