The digital project of URALCHEM has won the SAP Value Award 2019 earning the nomination “New Horizons”. The project of applying the AI technologies in fertilizers production was implemented on the territory of the KCKK Branch of URALCHEM, JSC in Kirovo-Chepetsk. The German company SAP together with BDO has developed a digital twin of the technological dry granulation processfor the factory and installed its support system. The experiments proved a high degree of its accuracy. Intelligent management system, a digital “advisor” for the operator of the dry granulation drumwascreatedwithintheproject,which led to higher stability and better performance of the equipment. The estimated preliminary results regarding the amount of the produced fertilizerspredict a 2-7% increase. Besides that, the AI helps improve some related technological processes.

SAP Value Award is being held in Russia for the fourth time already. The participants are evaluated in seven nominations according to the following criteria: the effect after the changes applied, the influence on how the companies are operated and develop strategically, the close link between the implementation of the SAP solutions and business results. This year there have been 100 applicants, 42 of which entered the final. The jury included the last year’s winners: NLMK, «Medservice Plus», «Kaspersky Lab», Cherkizovo, SUEKandKMGZ, as well as the representatives of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Skolkovo Business School and the PH “Kommersant”, the SAP experts.
