Autumn may be here but it’s always time for a sunny holiday-inspired cocktail in our book 😍🍸 Just in time for International Gin & Tonic Day (Thursday 19th October), say hello to our brand-new Seville Orange Gin & Diet Tonic tinnie – guaranteed to take you back to memories of warm Mediterranean holidays.
With two measures of extra dry Seville orange gin AND 30% fewer calories than a normal G&T, this superbly citrusy cocktail is great as a lighter option without compromising on strength (all our regular M&S tinnies are a generous 8% ABV, i.e. two measures of spirit!)
This delicious new tipple is the first tinnie we’ve added to our award-winning range since the launch of our four popular Marksologist cocktail cans earlier this year. Just a few weeks ago M&S was named Pre-mixed Drinks Producer of the Year at the ISC (International Spirit Challenge) for our outstanding range of ready-to-drink cocktails – cheers to that!
Jenny Rea, Lead Product Developer for cocktails and spirits at M&S Food, said: “We know our M&S tinnies have quite the cult following up and down the country, whether you’re a politician on the train or even a hot priest!… After all, we sell 60 cocktail cans every minute which adds up to 14.6million sold each year – that’s enough tinnies to stretch from London to Greece if you put them end-to-end!
“This gorgeously citrusy cocktail is the perfect antidote to this chilly autumn weather – the moment you take a sip you’ll be transported back to your favourite beach in the Mediterranean!”
M&S Seville Orange Gin & Diet Tonic, £2.30
M&S G&T tinnies dominated the headlines four years ago following the second season of cult series Fleabag, where Andrew Scott’s ‘hot priest’ offers Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s character a couple he had stashed in the vestry.
We saw shoppers rushing to the Foodhall to get their hands on these trendy tinnies, causing sales to rocket by a quarter at the time!
The stars also handed out cans of M&S G&T to fans queueing for tickets to the Fleabag stage show later that year.
Popular range of M&S gin & tonic tinnies also currently includes
