Belfast City Council has appointed Steve Daniels as the new Chair of Belfast Waterfront and Ulster Hall Ltd., the organisation responsible for ICC Belfast, Belfast’s only purpose-built conference centre, the adjacent Waterfront Hall, and the iconic Ulster Hall.
Steve brings a wealth of leadership experience at board level and strong commercial and business acumen. Steve has previously held a variety of senior leadership positions in the Financial Services Sector. He replaces Ellvena Graham, who served as Belfast Waterfront and Ulster Hall Ltd. Chair since 2016 and was announced as Chair of Tourism NI earlier this year.

About Steve Daniels
Steve Daniels (FCBI*) spent 40 years in the Financial Services Industry where he successfully performed a number of Executive Director roles in Retail Banking, Corporate Banking and Investment Banking. He has worked in New York, London, Edinburgh, Belfast and Dublin. During his time as Human Resources Director in Investment Banking he had Global responsibility for staff across a broad range of countries. Steve served as a Non-Executive Director with PlayBoard Northern Ireland for four years and has been a Non-Executive Director with BWUH Ltd since 2018 and is also Chairman of the BWUH Ltd Remuneration Committee. He is also currently Chairman of Splash Projects Ltd who deliver award-winning innovative experiential learning programmes to develop leaders and teams through real-life community projects worldwide. Steve has proven experience of delivering real transformational, cultural and behavioural change within challenging commercial environments across the world as well as extensive Board Experience. He has a passion for leadership development and team development and a reputation for working with key stakeholders to deliver sustainable business performance. His mission is taking on challenges that demand vision and energy and helping others realise their full potential. Steve and his wife Lesley have lived in Northern Ireland for 26 years, and his daughter Katie lives in Holywood with her husband and two children.
