The first Grade 1 race of the National Hunt season takes place at the upcoming Down Royal Festival of Racing on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th November.

The feature race is Saturday’s Grade 1 Ladbrokes Champion Chase. It has been won by many of racing’s top chasers including Don Cossack, who was successful in the race in November 2015 before going on to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup the following March.
Don Cossack is now enjoying his well-deserved retirement at his owner Michael O’Leary’s Gigginstown Stud in Co. Westmeath and Dave Keena caught up with retired jockey Bryan Cooper at Gigginstown to discuss the memorable days he enjoyed in the saddle on this great chaser.
