Winter Spice festive cocktail at Trademarket

The festive season is here and Trademarket has created the perfect cocktail recipe to keep you warm. Based in the Linen Quarter, the outdoor market is best known for their street-food, retail offering and delicious cocktails. Now the venue has launched their Christmas cocktail menu and have created the perfect winter warmer, an Aztec Hot Chocolate.

Due to be the hottest cocktail of the season, in more ways than one, the Aztec Hot Chocolate has just the right balance of sweet and spicy! The recipe has been created using 1800 coconut tequila, cream, dark Belgium chocolate, salt, cayenne pepper and garnished with marshmallows and cinnamon for the ultimate festive finish.

Trademarket Aztec Hot Chocolate

  • 50ml 1800 Coconut Tequila
  • 50 ml Cream
  • Belgium dark chocolate cocoa
  • Salt
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Marshmallows

Method:

  • Melt your Belgium chocolate and combine with cream in a small saucepan.
  • Bring the mixture to boil over a medium-high heat then reduce the temperature and simmer for 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • With a wire whisk, stir in the salt and cayenne pepper and add the tequila.
  • Pour the mixture into a tankard glass, top with toasted marshmallows and cinnamon to garnish.
