Legendary Chef, Tom Kerridge, and iconic food brand, M&S. It’s been a match made in foodie heaven since the duo joined forces a few years ago. And now the partnership is set to get even more tastebuds tingling as he unveils an exclusive range of dishes to M&S’ famous Gastropub menu. His first EVER collaboration with a British retailer.
The new Tom Kerridge x Gastropub lines include SENSATIONAL starters, mains and desserts, including a creamy pork liver, belly and bacon pate, deep filled all-butter pastry pies, and two mouthwatering desserts. Available in M&S Foodhalls from 24th September 2024.
Tom Kerridge explains: “I’ve been lucky enough to travel the length and breadth of the UK over the last two years in my Farm to Foodhall adverts, meeting M&S’ incredible farmers and suppliers. I’ve been so inspired by the innovation and quality of what they’re producing, I just knew I wanted to create something for M&S customers using all these little gems from around the Foodhall.
“The gastropub kitchen is my heartland and these new dishes take inspiration from the flavours from my pubs – comforting classics with modern twists, top notch ingredients and layers of flavour. All with the added beauty of being able to enjoy them from the comfort of your own home!”
Tom has worked closely with M&S Chefs and suppliers over the last couple of years on these epic new creations – even trying over 160 different pie recipes before landing on his final favourites.
The range, which has been bringing fancy pub grub to homes up and down the country for the last 20 years is ALSO getting a brand-new birthday glow-up, with 25 recipe revamps and more than 20 lip-licking new additions.
Marie Ford, Product Development Manager at M&S Food said: “This is a very exciting time for Gastropub. Not only are we turning 20 but we’ve also brought on board Tom Kerridge to create completely delicious new dishes to join the menu. Gastropub was our first restaurant-quality range so it feels fitting that it’s become Tom’s first retail collaboration too. The new and revamped recipes in our Gastropub range really are market-leading. If you had the time, you could make them at home using the same ingredients from our Foodhalls, from our West Country Brue Valley Butter and Cornish Cove Cheddar, to wines from our shop shelves. But we know that often isn’t the reality, so instead here are our favourite, comforting, convenient classics, from our kitchen to yours – with a little help from our favourite chef.”
Data from Ocado shows that traditional pub food searches on its site are on the rise over the last year. With sausages and gravy up 67 per cent, pie and mash up 66 per cent and lamb moussaka up a whopping 249 per cent! (YoY data (1/08/22-1/08/23 vs 1/08/23 – 1/08/24))
