M&S announces launch of Christmas sandwiches, festive food on the move range and Christmas Café menu…
Hold on to your desk chairs… It’s the time of year when the M&S food on the move aisles and Cafés ‘turn red’ as our festive ranges of breakfast, lunch, brunch, snacks on the go (and ABSOLUTELY everything in between) launch in-store… and this year we have some absolute crackers!
FOOD ON THE MOVE:
We know shoppers go WILD for a festive sarnie, and for many, that first bite of a Turkey Feast sandwich marks the official kick off to the Christmas season. This year our development experts have worked tirelessly to bring a new selection of soon-to-be Christmas faves that your lunchtime meal, train feast or 3pm snack time can’t be without.
Look out for an incredible selection of 12 new launches and 17 returning favourites – including our first ever Christmas Club, yep, you heard that right! Our Christmas Club Sandwich is litch iconic and includes a jaw-stretching 12-layers! Three layers of oatmeal bread layered with succulent roast British chicken, maple bacon, cranberry chutney, stuffing, spinach, spiced pickled red cabbage and a gravy mayo (which is out of this world!) An absolute must try.
The classic, and hugely popular, Turkey is back, and between now and Christmas we expect to sell over 1.2m of them – that’s more than 20k shoppers tucking into the ultimate Xmas sarnie every day (also available in Plant Kitchen – vegan, and Made Without Wheat varieties). There is also a whole host of sides joining the collection – meaning you are in for a flippin’ fantastic festive feast – more on that below!
Better still, 5% of the sales from our festive food on the move range is given to the charity, Shelter* to support their emergency helpline. Shelter’s emergency helpline is open 365 days a year and is staffed by a team of expert advisers who provide free help to people facing homelessness. Since the start of our partnership in 2005, M&S has raised over £14M for Shelter, and we are thrilled this year’s festive range will continue to support the great work they do.

TURKEY TIME!
Last year it took customers by absolute storm, and this year our Turkey & Bacon Toastie, £6.50 is BACK by popular demand! Made with British roasted turkey, bacon, ham hock, stuffing, Emmental cheese, cranberry sauce and a gravy melt in our amazing sourdough bread, this toastie cries out Christmas in every mouthful.
It’s joined this year by our veggie Truffled Emmental & Mushroom Toastie, £5.95, and our Ham Hock, Brie & Cranberry Hot Wrap, £5.50 – both toasted to perfection and OOZING with cheese.
If pastry is your perfect pairing for turkey, you HAVE to try our Turkey Feast Pot Pie Soup, £5.50. This puff pastry-topped soup/pie hybrid has been such a hit with Café customers this Autumn, and our festive version is a warming combination of British turkey, chunky vegetables, bacon and cream with a subtle hint of sage and parsley.
