Families are increasingly choosing to bring the grandparents along on their holidays, as Jet2 identifies strong demand for multigenerational holidays.
New booking data from Jet2 shows that thousands more package bookings for multigenerational holidays travelled between August 2025 and July 2026 than the same period 12 months prior, with groups of five or six people the most commonly booked.
Jet2 has also revealed where families travelling across the generations are heading, with the Canary Islands taking the top spot.
Türkiye (Turkey) is the second most popular choice, followed by the Balearic Islands, Greece and Mainland Spain.
Separate research among Jet2 customers also shows what matters when choosing a destination for a multigenerational holiday.
More than four in ten (43%) said they chose somewhere because it was suitable for their party, while the same proportion opted for somewhere they had visited before. Weather (42%) and affordability (34%) were also among the biggest considerations.
