and Jet2holidays announce £500,000 Apprenticeship Fund to support partners and Jet2holidays have announced a £500,000 Apprenticeship Fund to help charity and not-for-profit partners develop their workforces.

Following the announcement of 70 new apprentice positions at and Jet2holidays earlier this year, on top of over 100 apprentices already in employment, the UK’s largest tour operator and third largest leisure airline is making almost £500,000 in apprenticeship funds available to charity and not-for-profit partners via a levy transfer.

The funds will enable partners to recruit dedicated apprentices into their businesses, meaning they can bring in new talent whilst retaining and developing a highly skilled workforce.

In addition to supporting charity and not-for-profit partners, and Jet2holidays is also making apprenticeship funds available to independent travel agency partners so that they can upskill their workforces by taking on their own dedicated apprentices. and Jet2holidays are writing to partners who may be interested in supporting new apprenticeship positions within their businesses today, with details on how to apply for funds via the Governments main levy account. and Jet2holidays currently have over 150 apprentices on-programme in almost 35 different apprenticeship standards across the business in Finance, Engineering, HR, IT, Marketing, Operations Control, Health & Safety, Ground Operations, Contact Centre and Procurement, ranging from Level 2-7. Over 30 apprentices from across the organisation will be attending Jet2’s second Apprentice Graduation Ceremony later in the year to celebrate their achievements with Senior Directors, Management and their families.

Miriam d’Souli, HR Director at and Jet2holidays said: “We are so excited to be supporting charity and not-for-profit partners through this apprenticeship fund. Apprentices are critical to our success and growth as a business, and we have really enjoyed seeing our apprentices develop and flourish. We know that our valued partners will benefit from developing talent in the same way, and we are delighted to be supporting them with these vital funds.”
