Derry~Londonderry, 17 March. Derry’s 2020 Spring Carnival celebrations are set to be a vibrant and colourful celebration. So come along and experience a host of entertainment for all the family. The festivities will include music, dance, food and culture and will peak with the Spring Carnival Parade when over 600 street performers and dancers will weave their way through the historic city centre.
Walking-Trail-of-Binevenagh-Mountain
Limavady, 17 March. Enjoy Walking Trails of Binevenagh Mountain, an area of outstanding natural beauty. With their experienced and fully qualified Mountain Leaders and Guides, Carrowmena Walking Trails will take participants on an adventure to explore and experience the infamous Binevenagh Mountain. Binevenagh Mountain is a site not to be missed.
St-Patrick-s-Celebrations-Newry
17 March, Newry. Cross Community Carnival Parade will host a carnival colourful atmosphere with eye catching costumes, floats, performers, music and local community organisations. Come along to Hill Street, for entertainment in Marcus Square and Margaret Square for the whole family. Enjoy a wide range of fun activities including music, street performances, arts, crafts, face painting and much more.
CultureLab
Belfast, 21 February – 30 November. CultureLab is a place to take a good, hard look at the cultural stereotypes that we all know surround us in Northern Ireland. This new exhibition poses questions about culture and offers a glimpse into how identities have been, and continue to be, shaped. The exhibition includes the famous ‘Differences’ blackboard from the hit TV series Derry Girls, which is on public display for the very first time
Broighter-Gold-Farm-Tours
Limavady 2 March – 31 December. This farm tour includes a visit to the main farmyard where you can see the rapeseed after it has been harvested and shown how the seed. You can view the machinery that the farm uses to carry out many farm tasks throughout the year and get an insight into the work involved in the running of a modern farm. Visitors will be able to visit the processing area of the farm and learn how Broighter Gold Rapeseed Oil is made.
St-Patrick-s-Day-Celebrations-at-the-Ulster-American-Folk-Park
Omagh, 17 March. Step back in time to enjoy time-honoured traditions at Ulster American Folk Park. Meet a cavalcade of costumed characters, sample crafts and taste some good, old-fashioned fayre. Hear stories of the brave immigrants who journeyed across the Atlantic, and how they brought their St Patrick’s Day traditions with them. Complete with music, song and dance, bring the family along to find why the culture and history of Ireland is celebrated across the globe.
A-Peculiar-Afternoon-Tea-Pop-Up
Carrickfergus, 22 March. Whitehead Railway Museum are delighted to announce their first collaboration with A Peculiar Tea. For a very special afternoon treat they are welcoming a Pastry Pop-Up restaurant from Belfast on board this Mothering Sunday. Head Chef and creative director behind A Peculiar Tea, Gemma Austin, aims to release the fun in food with her immersive Pop-Ups and with her sell out success they are looking forward to what she bakes up for high tea.
Mother-s-Day-at-Belfast-Zoo

Grosvenor-Grammar-Spring-Concert

It promises to be a spectacular evening showcasing Grosvenor’s fantastic musical talent which will include performances from the Chamber Choir, Senior Choir, Junior Singers, Orchestra, String Orchestra, Jazz Band, Brass Group, Flute Group and Guitar Group to name some examples. With highly-talented musicians and singers who already perform for the Ulster Youth Orchestra and National Youth Choir of Northern Ireland you will be guaranteed a superb evening.
