Ladies clothing boutique, Style World, has been crowned the winner of Holywood’s Festive Window Dressing Competition 2022.
The stunning shop window, located in the heart of High Street, was adorned with a beautiful hand-made festive ‘dress’ created by Style World owner, Caroline McCaffrey, made out of tinsel, bows and sparkle, and was chosen by The Gourmet Boys alongside Holywood Chamber of Commerce.
A further three shop displays were short-listed for the award including; The Yard, Oxfam, and Soap and Suds who all went the extra mile with their creativity and unique style, featuring the BFG, The Grinch and a beautiful pink scene featuring festive elves and fairies.
Holywood Chamber of Commerce who’s mission it is to promote the business interests of Holywood town and the surrounding areas, are delighted with the response to the competition and found the final selection very tough.
Susi Diesel, President of Holywood Chamber of Commerce, and manager of Camphill Holywood said: “This year’s window dressing competition has been absolutely fantastic, and we spent a lot of time deliberating between the final short-list.
“The effort and creativity the businesses went to is to be applauded, especially as we know that businesses are under more financial pressure than ever before, and to see the effort that many went to, to bring a little cheer to our High Street, is just fantastic.
“We’ve had a very strong festive trade, with many visitors new and old coming to sample all that Holywood has to offer, and for that, I would like to thank people for their support.
“We would also like to thank all the businesses who took part in our Window Dressing Competition and look forward to further initiatives in 2023 as we work towards sharing the story of how amazing Holywood is to work in, visit, shop, dine and enjoy.”
Caroline McCaffrey, owner of Style World said: “I am absolutely over the moon to be this year’s winner. We try our best to bring a little style and sparkle to our window and to be recognised in this way is just lovely. Thank you so much to Holywood Chamber and the Gourmet Boys for this recognition.”
Brian Haslett and Mark Irvine aka The Gourmet Boys said: “Holywood is a fantastic town for shopping, dining out and just enjoying the lovely, welcoming atmosphere. We have loved being a part of their festivities this year and sampling all that was on offer. Congratulations to Style World and all of the other amazing businesses for their fantastic displays.”
