Check Your Water Pressure
The first thing to do when you want to use your pump for draining your pond is check your water pressure. You can find out how much pressure your well puts out by placing a gauge on top of the pump and turning it on. If it’ not high enough, you will need to add more water before starting up the pump again.
It’s important to keep this part of your system clean so that it can work properly at all times. To help with this, add some sort of cleaning solution such as bleach or chlorine bleach into the water before using any kind of pump or hose. Make sure that you check these parts every week or so to make sure they’re still functioning correctly and aren’t damaged due to age or use. Check on it regularly!
