2026 will see LEDCOM continue to expand its enterprise infrastructure, strengthen sectoral collaboration, and advance community wealth-building across Mid and East Antrim. Building on four decades of enterprise support, the organisation is entering a new phase of investment and regeneration that will further enhance opportunities for entrepreneurs and growing businesses across the borough.
LEDCOM will bring the Foundry House refurbishment to completion, continue building awareness of its services in Ballyclare and finalise the refurbishment of the Bank Road facility in Larne. The Community Wealth Building Project will continue to develop within the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council area, alongside the establishment of a Life and Health Sciences Cluster designed to support sector-focused collaboration and innovation.
Refurbishment works at Foundry House are progressing and expected to be completed in Spring 2026. The development will provide enhanced enterprise infrastructure and create new opportunities for entrepreneurs and growing businesses within the local economy.
In 2025, LEDCOM celebrated a major milestone, marking 40 years of supporting enterprise since its establishment in 1985. A series of events throughout the year recognised the organisation’s long-standing contribution to business development and the role it continues to play in strengthening the local economy.

The year also saw significant progress in expanding LEDCOM’s services and facilities. The organisation progressed its presence into Ballyclare through Work Cube and Foundry House, widening access to enterprise support and workspace for businesses across the area. At the same time, a £1 million refurbishment of the Bank Road site in Larne enhanced the quality of facilities available to local enterprises.
Alongside physical investment, LEDCOM also launched a Community Wealth Building Project after securing funding from the Department for the Economy and the Department for Communities. This initiative is focused on keeping economic benefit within communities, strengthening local supply chains and supporting long-term, sustainable prosperity across the borough.

The completion of the Bank Road refurbishment and the anticipated completion of the Foundry House facility reflects regeneration in action and LEDCOM’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality space and support for local enterprise.
