Achieving a stock market listing (Initial Public Offering / IPO) is a dream of many entrepreneurs in Northern Ireland considering the next phase of their company’s expansion and growth.
An IPO provides the management team and shareholders with the option to continue to grow the company, while still achieving some wealth realisation as opposed to selling the company outright and moving on. As a founder or co-founder it helps to have clarity on whether your goal is an IPO or a trade sale early in your journey as it can have a profound effect on your ability to attract investment and experienced talent to join your team.
In this free NISP CONNECT Frameworks Workshop, a team from solicitors firm, Mills Selig, will be joined by a panel consisting of Mark Fahy from London Stock Exchange, David O’Brien from Shore Capital and Hugh Cormican of Cirdan Imaging, previously founder and director of Andor plc.
Together they will consider what IPOs mean in 2014 and beyond:
· What factors need to be considered by companies contemplating an IPO?
· What do CEOs of these companies need to consider?
· Which managerial, legal and accounting issues will need to be addressed prior to a successful IPO?
