Five staff at Northern Ireland insurance broker, Willis Insurance and Risk Management, are celebrating the success of passing their Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII), each achieving their ‘Chartered’ status in the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).
Nicola O’Neill, Mary McCourt, Marc Rice, Nadine Graham and Karen Gamble, who have over 75 years-experience between them, have spent the last two and a half years and six modules, undertaking coursework and exams to achieve the feat.
Richard Willis, Managing Director at Willis Insurance and Risk Management (Willis IRM), said: “The hard work and success shown by Karen, Nicola, Marc, Nadine and Mary, reiterates our desire to invest in the training and development of our staff, which combined with our customer focused ethos, has enabled us to remain a leader within the insurance industry.
“Whilst we encourage and support all members of our team to undertake qualifications, it is down to the individuals to apply the diligence associated with this level of accreditation, so I am pleased for them personally, proud that we as a company have five passing this year and we look forward to supporting others to achieve the same.
The qualifications of these staff members guarantee that we are putting our best foot forward for 2019.”
Other members of the team are in hot pursuit of their colleagues, recently passing or undertaking their Diploma, the springboard to the ACII qualification. Willis IRM, which was the first broker in Northern Ireland to be awarded Chartered status, strives to have all members of insurance staff either qualified or on their way to CII accreditation.
The family-run insurance broker has over 100 members of staff across its offices in Belfast and Hull. They are celebrating 40 years in business and has predicted a 30% increase in turnover within the next three years through further acquisitions.
