Belfast Chamber of Trade & Commerce has awarded internet marketing company, TreatTicket, with a President’s Recognition Award, as an ‘ambassador of excellence’ for their continued success as a start-up business in Northern Ireland.

The award was received at the annual Christmas reception, and was the second in the series launched by Belfast Chamber which rewards and recognises 12 members over months. Those eligible for the prestigious recognition, include all Chamber members from all business sectors in a range of categories, from customer service excellence, investment into the city, footfall driver through to marketing excellence.

Speaking at the reception, Paul McMahon, President of Belfast Chamber of Trade and Commerce, said: “TreatTicket is an outstanding example of a great business idea, researched and executed beautifully with great global capabilities, and I am delighted to reward them today.

“The company’s recent invitation to join the London Stock Exchange ELITE programme is testimony to just how well this young homegrown company is doing, and it’s future potential.

“TreatTicket is the second deserved winner in our President’s Award series, with Value Cabs being recognised last month.

“Over the next ten months the Chamber will identify a number of different businesses from our membership who have actively contributed to the economy of the country as a whole, for driving footfall to our city and for being an excellent ambassador to visitors and indeed our own citizens.

Paul concluded, “The overall aim of the campaign is not only to recognize these fantastic businesses, but to incentivize others to follow by example, and for us all to work better together to showcase all that Belfast has to offer.”

Mary McCall, Treat Ticket said: “’We are thrilled to have been awarded the President’s Award and delighted that the Chamber has recognised our contribution to supporting the economy of Belfast.

“We work with so many great businesses throughout Belfast and we’re proud to connect these partners with our mass mobile and digital audience of TreatTicket customers on a daily basis.

“Like many businesses throughout the city, TreatTicket competes with massive global competitors and we are very conscious and appreciative that so many local businesses are choosing to support us.  Shop Local should mean supporting all local businesses where possible.”

Mary concluded: “We are working hard to promote the many great Treats, offers and discounts offered throughout Belfast and we’re genuinely grateful for the massive support we’ve received from businesses, consumers and of course the Chamber “
