The Friday Night Mashup is rapidly establishing itself as a strong force on the Northern Ireland networking scene, with the latest meetup promising to be the biggest and best yet.
Supported by headline sponsor Concentrix, and Invest NI, Cleaver Fulton Rankin, Little Big Shot, NI Science Park, Propel and Queen’s University. June’s event will be held in an alternative venue – a big top circus tent – with free beer and BBQ and music coming from a breakthrough local band.
Friday Night Mashup organiser Katie McQuillan said: “We are really excited about our June event, not least because speakers like Jon Vanhala have done much to shape and innovate within their respective fields. And like all our speakers, Terri Hooley is an innovator who knows how to identify, promote and export talent overseas.
“This is set to be a great opportunity for entrepreneurs and innovators to learn from their peers, demo their tech and provide mentoring to startups in need of support.”
Lisa Kavanagh, Global PMO & Renewals Technology Director, Concentrix Technologies, said: “It’s really great to be sponsoring such a fantastic event which brings together the best of Northern Irish technologies and connects and empowers Northern Ireland’s entrepreneurs. Concentrix Technologies develop and manage many innovative technologies which provide solutions to our global clients. This is a great opportunity for us and our technical development staff to meet with entrepreneurs, tech enthusiasts and investors and we are looking forward to attending.”
Friday Night Mashup aims to connect, engage and inspire tech talent by acting as a launch pad for local companies seeking to make an impact in export markets in the US and Europe.
