An event aimed at helping local businesses to grow by embracing the benefits of blogging will take place in Belfast next week.

Blogging for Business, organised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), will see three high profile bloggers help a wide range of local businesses to understand the digital world and how a greater online presence can improve sales and raise customer service levels.

The event, which takes place on Wednesday 25th November at 08.30 in the Ramada Encore in Belfast city centre will feature talks, advice and tips for local businesses from leading legal blogger and live artist Brian John Spencer, UniBaggage Digital Marketing Manager Lana Richardson and ThatBelfastGirl.com lifestyle blogger Gemma Louise Bond.

The topics covered at the event will include:

  • What corporate blogging is, who does it well and how
  •  Going viral and how to do it
  • What your business can learn from professional bloggers

The event has been organised by the CIPR as part of its commitment to help increase the profile of businesses in Northern Ireland.

Event organiser Leanne Ross, CIPR Northern Ireland committee member, said: “The CIPR recognises the increasing importance of the digital world for businesses in Northern Ireland and we’re passionate about helping as many businesses as possible to embrace digital for growth. Brian, Lana and Gemma Louise are three of Northern Ireland’s leading bloggers and they’ll have some great advice and guidance for how local businesses, regardless of size or scale, can increase their profiles online to help fuel growth.”

Tickets for the event are on sale now, priced at £25.99 per person, which includes access to the two-hour event, breakfast and an opportunity to meet the bloggers to discuss your business.
