2017 BIFM Ireland Region Awards Shortlist

2017 BIFM IRELAND REGION AWARDS SHORTLIST REVEALEDThe British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) Ireland Region has announced the finalists for the 2017 BIFM Ireland Region Awards. Winners will be announced on 17th November at the 21st annual BIFM Ireland FM Summit – ‘FM & The Internet of Things’ – at the National Stadium at Windsor Park, Belfast.

These prestigious awards are sponsored by Facilities People International (FPI) and recognise the outstanding dedication and accomplishments of FM professionals that have helped shape the FM industry in Ireland today. This year’s categories include BIFM Ireland Region FM Professional of the Year and BIFM Ireland Region Young FM Professional of the Year.

Shortlisted individuals for the BIFM Ireland Region FM Professional of the Year include

Michelle Weldon from Aramark and John O’Shea from OCS. Meanwhile Declan Conmy from Aramark, Daniel O’Mahony of ARUP, and James Harte from Accent Solutions have been announced as finalists for the BIFM Ireland Region Young FM Professional of the Year Award.

The judging panel for the 2017 BIFM Ireland Region Awards included a range of industry experts from across the UK and Ireland, including Avril Behan, Assistant Head at the School of Multidisciplinary Technologies at the College of Engineering & Built Environment of the Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT), Linda Hausmanis, CEO of the British Institute of Facilities Management, and David Gormalley, Senior Facilities Manager at The Guinness Storehouse, and winner of the 2016 BIFM Ireland Region FM Professional of the Year Award.

Compered by renowned sports journalist and presenter Denise Watson, the Summit is set to provide delegates with a full schedule of innovative talks about this year’s theme ‘FM & The Internet of Things’, delivered by a range of local and international specialist speakers. Moreover, the day will also involve a selection of exhibition demonstrations and a special Q&A session with Northern Ireland’s all-time lead goal scorer, David Healy MBE.
